Winners of the Finance Director of the Year Awards 2009
Guests gathered at the The Hilton, Glasgow on Friday 27 February 2009 for the prestigious annual Finance Director of the Year Awards. Sponsored by Bank of Scotland Corporate, and supported by ASA International with CA Magazine as media sponsors, the Awards honoured the outstanding contribution made by three finance directors towards the success of their respective organisations. The guest speaker was John Swinney, MSP, Cabinet Secretary for Finance and Sustainable Growth.
The Awards, established in 1992, were awarded in the categories of public / not for profit, corporate and young finance director of the year.
The award in the public / not for profit sector went to Hugh Hall, Chief Financial Officer, Scottish Enterprise. Keith Cochrane, Finance Director of the The Weir Group was the award winner in the corporate sector. And the winner in the young finance director of the year category was Allan Watson, Chief Financial Officer of OPTOS Plc.
