The Finance Director of the Year Awards represent the most prestigious accolades available to Finance Directors in Scotland
The Panel in its search is looking for Finance Directors who have provided significant contribution to the development of their Company and perhaps shown special achievements. Candidates for Emerging FD of the year are likely to be showing long term potential in their first FD role; there is no specific age limit.
What are the criteria?
- The individual has been in the job for at least two years
- He or she has contributed significantly to the development of the company ie special achievements ( the special achievements may have been in a previous year – ‘of the Year’ means recognized this year, not necessarily achieved this year)
- Relationship between the finance director and chief executive officer
- Candidates for Young Finance Director are likely to be showing long term potential in a first FD role; there is no specific age limit
- The organization must be a head office or a subsidiary but it must be based in Scotland
How to nominate
- Chief executives are invited to nominate their own finance director
- Professional advisors and others are invited to propose any finance directors they believe are worthy of consideration for these awards.
